disappointing breakfast , cold room
poor service cold room
the breakfast service was slow , and requests for bread and jam were ignored. the quality of the sweets was poor , tasting like inexpensive biscuits from discount stores. the room felt cold throughout my stay. i found the staff unresponsive to concerns about the temperature , and the lack of action was frustrating.

Decent Stay. Some Issues Noted
slow service cold room
The breakfast experience disappointed me. The options seemed limited, and there was no buffet. I had to order everything from a menu, resulting in a rather slow wait. The toast I requested only arrived after I had finished my meal. The room was also a bit too cold for my liking.

spacious bathroom clean bedrooms
the room overlooked the front lawn and had a very spacious bathroom. the whole house gave a feeling of calm. it had clean bedrooms and common rooms.
i found our room cold. reception did not seem to care at first.

christmas decorations warm welcome relaxed ambience few options bad service poor food
the house features beautiful christmas decorations upon arrival. irene and karoline offered a warm welcome. the relaxed ambience contributed to total relaxation.
The breakfast was disappointing. There were very few options. i repeatedly asked for more bread, jam, and marmalade. I never received any of it. the service and food were not good.

lovely view quality toiletries large bathroom
the george b shaw room on the first floor had a great view of the lough. the large bathroom included a roll top bath with a view of the lough from a large window. the quality toiletries were appreciated and bottles of water were left each day.
the menu was not very extensive.

antique furniture four poster bed white linen tables few options long wait bad service
the room was large. it had antique furniture and a four poster bed. the bathroom had a modern roll top bath! the dining room had beautifully laid white linen tables.
Breakfast was very disappointing. There were few options and no buffet. i had to order everything, meaning a long wait. i only got the toasts after finishing eating. the service was really bad!
